4huntrs Report post Posted yesterday at 06:26 PM Anyone on west side have a preferred cartridge case recycling recommendation. Called one place yesterday and was quoted 2.20 per pound. I know it’s worth more if I sort it by caliber but sitting in my garage when it’s 105 and sorting brass is not a hobby I want to start. It’s about 10 gallons or 115 pounds. Edge Report post Posted 21 hours ago Liberty Recycling wants you to buy a bond before you can recycle spent brass there.
25-06 Report post Posted 18 hours ago It might be worth separating. No way in heck would I do it in the garage. Do it in the house where it's 72. Maybe spread out a old sheet or two?
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted 16 hours ago No help added here but a story. 20 years ago, buddy and I would got to the local desert shooting spots and pick up ALL the brass. Sort what we used and scrap the rest. The scrap paid for components to load a few thousand every few weeks. We’d fill up 15-20 5 gallon buckets of brass. Not longer after that the scrap yards dropped the price for “bullet brass” we stopped then. dang I feel like an old guy rambling now!
PRDATR Report post Posted 6 hours ago We use Durable Metals in Tempe for general scrap like wire and copper/bronze valves. They have paid the most in the past but you need to factor in gas cost getting there.
