I'm leaning towards joeybari's opinion. I think it very well may be a Chupacabra although I would have to see the teeth.

When I first saw the picture on the G & F website, my thought was GIANT whitetail. I still think that. Would like to know more about it.

No it's 100% whitetail. A guy at work is freinds with this mans son and was there.He killed it sitting water never hunted whitetail before.It was last year.

read somewhere in another post about hybrids to check the glands on the leg

 

A g&f bioligist told us at a seminar that the glands are the only way to tell for sure besides doing a dna test. They noted that hybrid characterists could go both ways on a deer. Just by going off that pic it would seem too hard to tell at this point.
