Elk Hunting

Recommended Posts

This project started back in the spring with a little bit of shed hunting success.

My son found him a nice matching set and we wanted to turn it into a wall hanger.

With his machining skills and my welding skills we put together a bracket.

And then we did a little bondo work.

Then we did a little upholstery and woodwork.

And now for the finished product which is a nice looking wall hanger.

Now just imagine if we can go back and find this years antlers for this big guy.

It is what I have come to call Catch and Release Elk Hunting

Thats pretty sweet! What do think he scores? And what were the faces of people looking out of Chilis? hahaha!!

Yeah, I gotta be a little more discrete about my photo sessions. Picked prickly pear down below Payson, came back up the hill to meet for a birthday party. Instead of Macky's which we usually go to, we let Jr. decide on Chili's.

As far as the score, I don't really think he is all that big, but a personal best for my son.

We have another set we are working on right now that I bet scores higher than this one, but my boy found one side and his buddy found the other so they are going to have to duke it out on who gets to hang it.
