I shot my first coues this morning. A fork with eye guards. He the first buck we saw this hunt. I'm only half way to the quad with this huge pac as I'm writing this Pics to follow.

its a pretty short story,

Friday we saw all does. Saturday we saw all does including 5 mule does in an area i would never expect to see muledeer . sunday we hike in to a different area near by after receiving a tip from another hunter we meet on the hunt. we were on the ridge glassing as the sun came up. we glassed till 745 when out of nowhere this buck was in the middle strait across from the canyon from us at 403yard. i don't know how he got passed us for that long. after ranging him i switched from my binos to my t/c encore 300wm with the gun claw and attached it to the tripod. i dialed 5.8 moa on my scope. i was waited a few mins for a clear shot. when i shot i did not hear a whack but my buddy was watching him in the spotting scope. he collapsed in his track with one shot to the neck.

No I'm back the deer is on ice head skinned and I'm enjoying a cold miller hight life. I'm having a hard time uploading photos so it may have to wait till I get home. It was a 420yhard shot to the neck. And a 1.4mile pack out.
