A buddy and I put in for New Mexico general deer this year and was hopping someone could tell me the rough date in the past that the draw results have come out.

Thanks Regan

Even better... it does state the date of May 9 in the regs... this is good news to me. I hated to have to put in the AZ draw not knowing New Mexico... I gonna get a Caldera tag!laugh.gif

Good luck in the draw, that is my back yard. After I'm done shed hunting for the season I'll post some of the antlers I've found on the National Forest side of the fence.

QUICK DRAW! BIG-GAME DRAW RESULTS AVAILABLE FRIDAY

SANTA FE – Hunters who applied for New Mexico big-game licenses will know their draw results earlier than ever this spring, thanks to a paperless system that helped the department process license applications in record time.

The Department of Game and Fish will send e-mails to successful applicants Thursday evening and post all draw results to customer accounts on the department website Friday. That’s five days earlier than expected this year and a more than a month earlier than last year.

“The paperless, online system was so efficient that we were able to process and audit all our applications earlier than anticipated,” said Alexa Sandoval, the department’s Administrative Services chief. “For a lot of hunters, Friday will be like Christmas in May.”

Earlier draw results also will allow the department to issue refunds to unsuccessful applicants much sooner, Sandoval said.

The department received 139,811 applications and issued 59,690 licenses for deer, elk, antelope, bighorn sheep, oryx, ibex, javelina and Barbary sheep for the 2012-2013 seasons.

Hunters can check their draw results by logging onto their customer account on the department website, www.wildlife.state.nm.us beginning Friday, May 4. Results and assistance will be available by phone beginning May 18 for applicants who have not received refunds or licenses in the mail.
