DotShot Report post Posted October 31, 2006 Congrats on your success, i dont know how you managed it with all the hunters that were in the area. My brother and I along with our sons went down around the Mildred peak area on Saturday and I was completely amazed at the number of hunters in that particular area, having said that we did see a few deer that had been harvested. Spot Report post Posted October 31, 2006 Ditto to what DotShot said. I too was in the Mildred Peak area with my sons (one of which has an October tag and the other has a December tag). We hiked 2 miles into the "foot access only" area on the Santa Margarita only to find that there were 5 atv's in there. With my boys work and school schedules we were only able to get away for a few hours on Sunday to hunt. I did glass up a buck at about 1200 yards, and we put a stalk on him but things didn't work out. Hopefully in December the traffic in the "foot access" area will be by those traveling on foot and the results we be better. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
