Expired

Recommended Posts

I replace my string when it frays excessively at the served areas. I also immediately replace my string if a bow does not come with a high quality string to start with. It takes a long time to wear out these newer materials but if they start to creep or stretch, it's time to get a replacement. Creep is easily noticed when your peep continues to rotate after shooting about 100 shots or so. I high quality string in good condition should not creep, rotate or stretch. If you are experiencing any of these issues it might be time to take a look at your string.

Good Luck!

Was planning on possibly doing mine after the new year some time. Bought my bow last November.

It depends. Every 2 years is great if you can but every 3-4 years is also ok.

One of the guys down at PSE told me you have to replace them once a year to stay under warranty for the bow. Not sure if it's true or not, does anyone know?

I have heard every year before but realistical every other year unless you don't shoot much or have a really nice string from some one like Az custom bow strings then its every three years!
