Flagstaff help

Tracked him forever. He dumped down into a canyon Im not allow to go in. Couldn't find any blood. Look for my arrow for hours. Even used a black light at night to find my fletchings. I'm thinking about going back hunting again. A little deflated right now though. It wasn't that far. I should've found that arrow.

I have walked past my arrow SO many times! It is usually a busy that seems to find that for me. No blood? Should be pretty available most of the weeks. Good luck and don't hesitate to give a call if you need a hand.

I think I know what "canyon" you are talking about. Same thing happened to a bud last year who shot one and ran across the fence. We called the park service and said we could go in to retrieve it but couldn't bring our bows with us as that would constitute hunting. Never did find him though.

Caught him on trail cam the next night 1/2 mile away. So bummed. Arrow still in him. Back and high.

Same proximity, same bull. Nobody else was hunting in here. The next night. 1/2 mile away.

I'm pretty sure this is mine. But I could be wrong. Terrible.

Still alive. Behind the spleen or he wouldn't have lasted that long. I would check the closest wallow. He is going to try and pull the arrow or roll and break it and when he does he will wallow to pack it with mud.

This is without a doubt one of the hardest things about hunting. Its a terrible feeling. Do all you can to recover him. If you have done that and feel its impossible then its your choice alone on what to do next. If you feel that you did your best and want to continue your hunt, do it. If you are too bothered by it and feel like that is your bull for the year then stop. It is a very personal thing when it comes to this situation and do whatever it is that you can feel at peace with. Whatever you decide, don't listen to haters on either view point, cause everyone has their opinion. I wish you the best of luck and am sorry you have to go through this.
