I'm ready! It should be a good season. I wont be able to go out till Monday the 5th😒 I have to work opening weekend. Watch out for snakes. I came across 3 rattlers while scouting out some quail areas this week.

That to bad you have to wait. I think it will be awesome this year. Thanks for the snake alert but down where I live we look for rattlers until it freezes good

Sherman

Was hoping to be down there with you for quail or in my deer unit that date for the short bear season. But turns out that date my ol lady is competing in the Man vs Horse 25 miler. So I get to stick around near the hacienda this time.

Way to hot for the dog still, 60 as a low isn't quite where I'd feel good about her first runs of the year, warms up quick too. Hopefully will get a cold front come in put us in low fifties soon in the morning.

I'm going out Tuesday. My quail spot will be a High of 77 that day. A little more bearable but not as cool as I would like it to be.

True.

But we like to hunt all day. We enjoy being out in the desert from sun up to sun down, even if there aren't a lot of birds. Mid to late October is about the earliest we go out.

Be careful with the rattlesnakes guys!

I won't be able to hunt this weekend. I may just wait till it cools down anyway.
