Removable Brake question

Recommended Posts

I put ear plugs in every pocket. I don't want to fret about looking for what pocket it was in.

You bring up a good point that I struggled with for a while. I used to randomly pack up for hunts (pack, pouches, pockets, etc) randomly filling space. A few years ago I decided to start designating pockets for certain things and do not deviate from it. For example, X pocket always has ear plugs, pocket knife, etc. Y pocket always has the range finder, calls, etc. This has made a big difference for me, I'm no longer searching though various pockets, pouches, etc when I need something since I know it is always in the same place. It takes a little discipline, but it has helped me a ton.

Yes Great point with the same pockets. I do the same and practice going over pockets and know where everything is at. Most people just throw it in and when the time comes your scrambling around. A few years ago I read a book, the author was a Navy Seal who was with Chris Kyle on his tour and he always said they practice and kept the same pattern where they kept their batteries, maps, etc etc. He always said in his book what made Seals very efficient in the field was "slow is smooth, smooth is fast"
