Recommended Posts

My dad went to San Carlos Friday(I was at school :( :( ) and they caught a ton. The fish fry on Sunday was awesome. He brought home 22 crappie and had 7 1/2 lbs of fillets.

I was there Friday evening and Saturday. I caught at least 50, and my son caught a bunch too! It was awsome. TONS of boats. I counted about 115 boats around us! Crazy!

How many did ya keep?! With fish like that you only need about 10 to make a meal!

If you're catching 20, it may be slowing down.

I don't want to fillet anymore than that.

If I did, we could have filled the boat up.

Well, I'm not spending $100 on gas and two hours of driving to catch crappie then throw them back. They hardly put up any fight at all, even on the trout rod. Sometimes, you can't even tell if they are on your line or not. Them fish tacos we had last night tasted dang good though.

I'd spend $100 to go catch a bunch of crappie's and throw em' back! Catching them is the fun part..........just never been much of a fish eater <_<
