Is this our next president?

Recommended Posts

Obama is scarey. Yes, He has denied muslim associations but he will not pledge his allegiance to this country.

Shrillary is the EVIL we know. and Obama is the one we do not. I hate Mclame but he is at least 40% conservative and the other 2 are 100% liberal.

As for the global warming farce, Follow the money.... The groups making $ from Carbon Credits, and Green This and Green that, is makeing them rich and doing nothing about the real cause of global warming.

The REAL Cause of Global Warming is the fact that the world has less pirates now than ever in history. See it in the chart below.

It's in the Chart. You cannot Argue with this since it is Scientifically sound evidence.

By the way, I want to let you know about a charitable organization, www.morepirates=less global warming.yukyuk

If we all donate 100.00 to the cause we can return this vital and endangered culture to the world and stop the world destruction.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the man.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in heck and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the senator.

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules."

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to heck. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time but before he realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and wave while the elevator rises...

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

"Now it's time to visit heaven."

So, 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter

returns.

"Well then, you've spent a day in heck and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in heck."

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to heck. Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder.

"I don't understand," stammers the senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning......

Today you voted."

Huhm. Why are the most obvious solutions always the last ones we see? Clears up that little mystery.

i don't think the founding fathers would be too happy about how things are now, but we're still light years ahead of the rest o' the world. it's gonna be interesting. i see now that condi rice is trying to politic into the vp with mccain. that's interesting. don't know how good it'd be, but it'd be interesting. main thing is to vote. I'm havin a hard time with it this year. I'm interested to see who throws their hat in the ring on an independent ticket, as between these other three a-holes it seems like you're just voting for the lesser evil.

I don't think any independent will get elected, but maybe if someone descent steps up & gets a fair percentage at least, that can be a stepping stone for other ind. types to build on in following elections. You know, kinda build some momentum. From that point of view, it's not a wasted vote.

I've been thinking about re-registering as an independent & now that McCain got the nod I guess I'm gonna have to follow through with it.

My wife shares your opinion and says she won't vote for a president. I tell her that not voting for McCain means she will be voting for Hillary or Obama.

Bingo! Makes no diff if you add one by voting for either Clinton or Obama or substract one by not voting for McCain . Either results in an advantage for the Democraps. One less vote for McCain merely means the Dem. candidate needs one less to win. -TONY

True if it was one man = one vote, but with the Electoral College System, not voting in Arizona will not make any difference. Lets face it, McCain will carry Arizona. The Demo's canidate probablly will not even campaign here. I don't see any downside to not voting. In fact don't vote, it only encoarges them.

Then why is Napolatano a two term governor?

Arizona used to be Republican to the core; welcome to Calizona.

I never could figure out why McCain failed to sort out if marraige should be between one man and one woman.

A friend of mine suggested there should be a new "Conservative" party.

I will be writing in Ron Paul's name.

Not voting is ridiculous. There are other things on the ballot besides President.

bobbyo, because of the electoral college, your vote does count. it is one of, if not the most, brilliant things ever devised. it makes every state relevant in the presidential election. because of the electoral college, all gore isn't the president. not because of the crap in florida either. if he would have carried either his home state of tennesee or the clinton's home state of arkansas, florida wouldn't have mattered. but he didn't look at either state as worth his effort because they only have a couple electoral votes each. i ain't gonna go into a gov't lesson here, but the electoral college is set up so that new york, california and maybe one or 2 other big states don't elect every president. if it was just popular vote, that is exactly what would happen. because of the electoral vote and the way it spreads around electoral vote, every state has real improtance in the election. in 2000, it was the best example ever of how things work. the NRA bombarded tennesee and arkansas with anti-gore adds, more than any other state, and they swayed the vote in both places. and those 2 states turned the election. all we ever hear about is florida and hanging chads and a stolen election, but if gore would have spent some time in his home state, he would have won anyway. and in the florida, the system worked "EXACTLY" how it was supposed to. don't listen to the media BS. the electoral college is a great thing. go to wikipedia or some other good source and read up on it. i know they don't teach any of this stuff in school anymore, so if you got outta high school in the past 20 years, you may not know much about it. so educate yourself. the founding fathers were brilliant and inspired beyond comprehension. Rembrandt,

If McCain has to worry about carrying Arizona in the election then he might as well quit now. He won't have a chance.

The reason Nappy won the first time was she was running against Salmon, A very capable candidate except he happened to be LDS and many in the so called Christian Right could not support that, so they did not vote and in the reelection the Republicans didn't even put up a fight. Does anyone remember who ran against Nappy in that one?

Desert Bull, I believe it is important to vote if you are informed. I am not for 100% voter participation unless their is a basic knowledge of govt and candidates. I would even be for a simple test. If everyone actually voted could you imagine the tickets. We would have Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton vs. Brad and Angelina. Voter participation for the sake of voting bad. informed voting good.

Bob
