    Elk Rut Update

I don't think it will be a real crazy rut during rifle and muzzy, but on a year with a great Sept rut it slows down immensely during muzzy and rifle. This year it won't slow down as much as normal it should just stay consistent longer. Also last year was a pretty bad drought and rut year and I'm seeing a bunch of calves that are only a couple weeks -month old. It seems like many of the cows in my neck of the woods didn't get bred until Oct or Nov last year.

Well that is much better than anybody else I’ve heard so good for you.

    23N Early Archery Bull 2025

The bad thing is that the biggest bull in the unit might be a 370" this year. Which is a great bull but not what we hope when we hunt 23. I've always contended that this year would still produce some great bulls, I think overall Im wrong. Its bad out there from everyone I've talked to and the little I've been out.

    Dragon Bravo Fire

I'm betting they open the 67 and west of 67 today, or at least parts of it. But we shall see.

    Barbary sheep hunt Texas.

Nice Barbary, looks like a good shot also. I need to get me one of those. One of these days.

    Which NL'S?

12s are clear enough to see pretty much everything you need. If you are really trying to judge a buck at 700+ yards I think you should use a spotter, even the 14s won't catch everything. I think 12s are the best all around. I don't own 14s but my friends do and I can glass everything they can or more. lol

    StarLink Mini

I have a mini at my well house to run a security cam. I will take it hunting this fall, So far I've been very happy with it. Easy to set up and use with decent speeds
