I think I found a load. Gonna test again tomorrow. Berger VLD-H 140 grain,41.5 grains H4350. 2.175" base to ogive. Federal 210M primers. Group measures just under .25". Only problem is I don't have any Federal 210M primers (primers were from another shooter). I do have CCI BR2 primers. Hopefully the primers won't affect accuracy much. This is a 4 shot group.

Nearly identical to my target load in my 6.5 SLR.

Rem brass

140 HVLD

41.5 H4350

Fed GM210M

2.188" CBTO

My .260 Rem is similar as well.

Lapua brass

140 HVLD

CCI BR-2

42.0 H4350

2.180" CBTO

I say try the CCI BR-2. If they shoot, use them. Much easier to find over the Fed GM210M.

Good to know. Hopefully the CCI BR2's will shoot. I am pretty sure they will. I can't find any Fed 210M right now.

I have a 100 210m I picked up the other day for trading purposes. I might come back down next weekend and if I do I'll give em to you

So I decided to try to tweak the load a little more using the CCI BR2 primers. Here is the load and the group:

41.4 grains H4350

Berger VLD-H

2.170 CBTO

CCI BR2 primers

The 4 shot group measures .15"

that is almost my identicle load with 4350 but that powder has been difficult for me to find so i,m using superformance with near identicle results. I,m also using a winchester wlr primer.

A couple pictures from my trip to the range last weekend. Both pictures are groups at 200 yards when I was zeroing the scope. The second pic was my best group. After this group I adjusted the scope 2 clicks left and shot the group in the first pic. Both are 3 shot groups. I think the rifle will be ready for opening day in Wyoming in 2 weeks.
