The odds are like 1 in 24,000.

Exactly. A sheep tag feels impossible and that's like 1 in 100.

Now that there aren’t any more auction tags, look to see more of these “opportunity for EVERYONE “ raffles. Going to have to make up a couple million a year. Either raise all tag fees substantially or grab your cash every couple months.

Here's the difference. Although auction/raffle money goes back to g&f, how it is used is at discretion of the auctioning tag  recipient. (For the most part)   this style I am willing to bet would just go into the general fund, unless otherwise stated.  (I don't feel like reading the rules to say for certain)

  • This is discretionary. The objective is to generate revenue in order to maintain current operations and limit or eliminate the need to increase license and hunt permit-tag fees.

These tags (limited opportunity) have been available for a couple of years even with the auction tags or soon to be raffle tags.  Let's make a big deal out of nothing.

First off. This is just speculation on why.  No big deal at all.  Secondly, don't you think the first couple of years could have been a beta test?
