Velvet Preservation in the field

Be VERY careful using Velvetlok.  It does not work well for early season Velvet antlers!!!!  Especially the large antlers with bulby tips.

Whatever fake velvet you put on that velvet coues my kid killed a few years ago looks good

Yes, the best thing you can do to prevent velvet from spoiling is getting it frozen!
