CHARLIEFOX Report post Posted June 7 If you can jump on one of the day and a half sport boats. I like Seaforth landing the best, great boats and their parking situation isn’t nearly as chaotic as the other landings. The tribute and pacific voyager have been killing it the last few weeks. Shoot me a message if you got any questions.

bowhunter-tw Report post Posted June 10 How do those work with that many people on the boat? Is everybody fishing at the same time or do you get a short period to fish and the rest of the time you are sitting around?

Seaforth is great with plenty of parking and would be my recommendation. Close to Sea World and Motels. If you don't have tackle you can rent it at any of the landings as they all have a tackle store and renting is very common. Usually each boat will have 2-3 Mates to help you and there will be a galley with a cook. I would do boat trip too just for the experience. Ask your doctor to get you a prescription for a scoploimine patch and put it on the night before so you don't get seasick. https://www.sportfishingreport.com/charter_boats/newseaforth.php https://www.sportfishingreport.com/dock_totals/
trphyhntr Report post Posted June 10 Those cattle boats look like heck on earth. I know some people love them but when i watch YouTube vids it looks like the worst fishing experience imaginable.
chefb Report post Posted June 10 I have chartered a 4 pack boat with Boundless Boat Charters out of San Diego. We went to Coronado Islands in Mexico. It’s just you & your friends with Captain Mark. He was a great captain/mate for a few of my group that had never gone out before. Very patient, great teacher, clean boat with head (ladies really liked that), all the gear you could need & bait. Oh, he was on the fish & we had a great time & enough fish for everyone to take 6 or 8 supper's for two! Tight Lines
mjt71 Report post Posted June 20 No angles, no tangles is the trick in the sportboats. Start with a rock fish trip to see how you hold up. Recommend using a rental rod. I prefer H&M or Fisherman’s landing. Parking can be a challenge but IMO better boats.
