Phil Carr Report post Posted June 12 Game and fish should put the value of the loss of this BIGHORN at the average price over the past 5 years of the governors tag. This should cover the the loss of the sheep, not including expenses of the G&F for investigation and prosecution. 1

Small Mouth have historically over populated it resulting in stunted growth. To alleviate it they have done electro shocking to reduce the SM population. Last time was probably five years ago. Eventually I am going to prove a theory i have and that the downstream reservoir, chevlon, has a bunch of unfished for bass. I will hike my inflatable kayak down and go bass fishing. Last time I took my regular kayak down there it nearly killed me

Last time I took my regular kayak down there it nearly killed me I would never say none but I fish there aggressively and I bet your theory is not a bunch nor even a worthwhile population. The lures and flies that have caught 100 smallmouth at Willow Springs in past few years have been used equally there and no bass have taken one. I could see it change in the next decade if things trend as they are. I probably just cost you a lot of effort to prove me wrong, and I wish you sincere good luck. I would love more and better smallmouth and walleye fisheries in our state.

I thought in your original post you were talking about exploring chevelon canyon lake for bass. If there was bass in it, I would have thought my friends would have caught some.
