Hello all,

i have a 2018 Tacoma trd off road and was thinking of selling or trade in for a 2025 4runner, anyone here has the new 4runner and how do you like it? i'm debating because of the new motors, every car maker is going with turbo's and i'm not sure, toyotas are know for 300K with no problems i don't know abot this new motors.

i really will appreciate input.

Not a 4runner, but my mom has a 25 tacoma. I'd stick with the V6.

 

Not that we've had issues with it or anything but just one more thing to break and it doesn't get that great of gas mileage

I like the looks of them but not sure I would go with the 4 cyl turbo motor yet.

I got my wife one of the new 2025 4 runners. It’s an sr5 with the turbo 4 cylinder, not the hybrid. nice rig for sure and pretty zippy. I paid for a super extended warranty just because the new motor isn’t proven. It does seem to have more power than the "old" motor and gets 22-23 mpg on the highway. Haven’t really offroaded it or anything yet but i’m sure it’s capable.

i know they make the turbo- hybrid but that's another thing that i worry about.

I have a 2025 Tacoma and it is hands down a way nicer truck than any earlier model Tacoma I have had. Power, gas mileage, room etc. No issues at all with it.

I wish they made them with V8s.
