Dec Fishing around Show Low

Welp, looks like another XMas season with no snow!  I booked a large cabin for my extended family and looking for non-snow things to do.  I have a good list going, but wondered if there is any good fishing in late Dec with no snow?  We tried Fool Hollow lake last year and didn't get a bite (usually crush it in the summer).  Hawley lake?  Open to anything- just wanting the option to hook into something that is hungry.

I chatted with G/F and they said Black River, Big Lake and Silver.  I'll start there (long drive on the first two).  Open to hear about any ideas on the Rez too!

The most recent pictures I saw from Reservation Lake it was iced over.

The reservation has some great lakes also. Its great they haven't frozen over yet. Gonna head up next week. Goodkuck

If you fly fish, I HIGHLY recommend Silver Creek.

I had some good luck at big lake a few weeks ago on the late bull hunt.

anything new to report on the higher lakes up in the Whites, like Big lake or even the Greer lakes? Heading up in a few days with the kids.

Check out white mountain guiding for some great fishing around pine-top/showlow. Best time i had up there and Patrick is a great guy!
