MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted 3 hours ago Anyone have experience moving silver dollars? The little research I’ve done is all over the map. I have some 90% silver dollars.
Demerson71 Report post Posted 3 hours ago Good. Hoping you know it’s gonna fly by 100. I bought at absolute worst at $50 in 2010 and again at $33 I think.

I have some 90% silver dollars. Just an FYI that 90% silver coins are also called "Junk Silver" or "Constitutional Silver" and probably a few other names I'm forgetting. Often times shops will offer you a multiple of the face value of 90% coins. as it's a very easy conversion. For example, if you have 20 silver dollars, you might get $60 for $1 face so 60:1. This is just an example as the silver runup recently might make the 60, number, 65 or 70. Shop around as prices can vary widely. Ag spot is now at $101/toz. I'm truly gobsmacked at its runup and this might be a good time to sell. Good luck, Eddie
Williej32 Report post Posted 3 hours ago Most 90% silver dollars have .7734 toz of silver in them so multiply that by the spot price of silver and that’s what it is worth in silver content. The Morgan’s and Peace dollars usually have a slightly higher premium on them than standard “junk” 90% and therefore worth a little more. Standard junk 90% (half dollars, quarters, dimes etc) have .715 toz of silver per dollar face value which is slightly lower than the 90% silver dollars. Most coin shops are going to buy both quite a bit under spot. Right now around $55/ dollar face for junk, which is about $17 under the actual spot price of silver. It’s easy to move in coin shops but you won’t get the best price. For that you have to deal with individuals.
GreatWhiteBuffalo Report post Posted 3 hours ago Not a good time to sell junk silver right now. LCS's tell me the refiners are backed up with this product and they are melting .999 only. It's easier to melt to the 1000oz bars to satisfy the comex boys.

Good point @GreatWhiteBuffalo I sure as heck forgot about the refinery backup since so many are selling. The only good news is it costs nothing to ask.
