Can someone walk me through this.  Please treat me like I’m the dumbest person you know.  My son wants to do the youth hunt next year.  Which to my understanding he can do otc??  Secondly I’d like to potentially get a tag at some point. Is there a draw?  The regs confuse me on this a bit.

There are actually two draws for Javelina. The one you're looking for is the spring draw in October for hunts in Jan and Feb of 2027. There is a fall draw for javelina but it is youth only so your son can apply for that and hunt this fall. You can apply your kid for both. The OTC options aren't great so I would just apply for the draws. It won't take long to draw.

How old is your son. Reason I ask my kid is 9 but turns 10 right before the hunt and AZGF said he SOL and can not apply.

he is 10 right  now.

That's not true, if that's what was said. He can def apply if he turns 10 before the hunt. But he cant apply for a bonus point only until he turns 10.

They told me she needed a hunting license to apply, and at 9 years old she can not have a hunting license?

I don’t think there’s a minimum age for buying a license.  I have friends who bought their kid a lifetime when they were born..,
