Azshooter Report post Posted February 19 Did a quick search of the net. While there are not many manufacturers that offer an adapter that steps down to a smaller thread the adapter does exist. It could solve your problem for far less money and time. 5/8″×24 RH (female) to 1/2″×28 RH (male) Thread Adapter – SKU#080 - Hughes Precision LLC If you go this route, keeping the thicker thread on your barrel will have more strength. Robert Whitley did a study posted on Accurate Shooter that causes belling of the muzzle due to insufficient thickness. bowhunter-tw Report post Posted February 19 I had considered using an adapter; I wasnt sure how concentric this would be and it adds barrel length with no velocity gain, minimal, but not optimal.
