creed Report post Posted 14 hours ago I've killed a couple of antelope with a bow but both were spot and stalk. If I decide to sit water more when do antelope tend to water? I haven't drawn enough antelope tags to be familiar with them.

yotebuster Report post Posted 13 hours ago Water is great if it doesn’t rain, and if you’re just trying to kill AN antelope. If you wanna target a big buck, it can be tougher. The nice thing is if one does come in, you have a way higher percentage shot then when spot and stalking since you’re in a blind. That being said, after hundreds of hours in a blind for elk and antelope, I’ve never actually had one that I wanted to kill come in and drink so what do I know. DUG Report post Posted 11 hours ago Does G$F still do aerial shooting? I know they used to do 3 areas a little before fawns are dropped.
bigorange Report post Posted 8 hours ago Agree with all day long, but on my hunt I was able to pattern them pretty well to about a 4-hr window when they were consistently hitting the one water hole I focused on. Outside of that window of time I had a great time trying to tag out spot and stalk. I'm sure there were other antelope hitting the water at other times, but I had several shot opportunities and killed mine during that time window. I gave another hunter my info after tagging out and he killed a buck off the same tank during the same time window. I'm no expert, but this was my experience and had more than one person advise trying to pattern them on the water holes.
