I would hunt along the fence of 23b

awesome. I'll look for the fence. Is it invisible? or just a typo, like the title of my thread...which it looks like the admins may have corrected.

Good God man do we have to spell everything out for you? The fence clearly splits 23A and 23b.

Unit 23 has a lot of year round flowing creeks. Figure out where you wanna hunt, and look for high elevation, north east facing benches that overlook those creeks. It’s not going to be an easy hunt, you’re going to have to invest in some boot leather. Start scouting a week before the hunt. Start driving the roads now. The Bulls will get pushed up into those areas by the late archery hunters, and they should be in their winter time routines by the time opening day rolls around. Plan to strike on opening morning. If you wait around and try to get picky, the bulls will probably get blown out of wherever you’re hunting. Scouting hard the week prior to the hunt will be key.

I think this is pretty much on par advice for hunting any big canyon unit in the state.

He was stoked on his hunt and we’ve rained on his parade. Now he has to get a giant to rub shoot in our face.

I was on this hunt last year and severe time in the last few decades and spend many many days in 23 annually and if he was less of a douche bag he may have found some help but here we are

So I am the douche because I made a typo and your reply is to bust my balls because I typed 23A instead of 23?

I have no idea how we were lucky to get drawn for Bull in Late November but here we are, my son and I both got drawn. His first ever big game hunt.

We have been drawn before but due to life getting in the way, we had to give up our hunts. I am not doing that this year.

So, if anyone has any tips or suggestions for places to start looking, that would be highly appreciated. I have a few pins for deer from some members on here, so we will probably start there.

I have a 2WD tundra and a quad to get around.

Good luck this year everyone.

Well welcome to cwt, can't have thin skin here.  The reason you are lucky enough to draw this tag it's because for the most part late rifle tags f****** suck.  It's cold and miserable and the bulls are laying low, and if you find a good one he's probably broken from fighting.  Maybe you will get snowed in and have to retrieve your camper in spring.  That's a taste of how a late tag could go.

All that said, the advice already given is as good as you are going to get. Don't look at this hunt as a trophy hunt. If you spend the amount of time  before the hunt like was suggested and you can kill a decent bulll that is good for you otherwise just fill the tag.  You basically have to put yourself in the position of these animals that have been hunted all season they are now looking to hide and recover. Where would you go? Now go hunt those spots.
