Ed F They have events where they will have scorers in your area at Cabela’s, sportsman’s or maybe the AFGFD wildlife event they had this weekend. It’s actually free but you can pay $50 and they’ll enter it in the books and give you a copy of your score sheet and things. Pretty cool. Non-typical antlers are 1st scored as a typical, differences noted on score sheet. Abnormal tines are then measured and added to the score. For a typical score, abnormal tines are subtracted. Hardest part of scoring a non-typical is deciding what is normal/abnormal. Unless you plan on entering it in "the book", measure it yourself and subtract nothing. The most common mistake guys make when measuring is on the main beams, the point at the end of the beam is not measured twice, it is strictly a beam measurement. BTW, I am not an official measurer. GreyGhost85 Report post Posted Tuesday at 01:15 AM Just get a cloth measuring tape and go to the boone and crockett website and look up where the measurements are. If you’re not looking for anything official, it’s pretty easy to get within several inches. I’m guessing 180ish frame with 20-25” of nontypical? 200" +- 5" is where i’m at.
