savagman Report post Posted October 3, 2011 Had a great hunt with Mike Harris from HD Trophy Hunts My link - Thanks Rodney, Daniel and Mike for a great experience and a great first bear. Mike and Daniels dogs were fantasic!!! In a weekend they treed 5 bears. This was, hands down, the best guided hunt I have been on. Plenty of good guys in camp and on the hunt . HD Trophy Hunts Report post Posted October 6, 2011 Eric thanks for the kind words. Congrats again on a fantastic bear. That bear will be hard to top. We all had a great time in camp with you, that Bacon wrapped Bear was DELICIOUS. I'm still not sure whether the venison or the bear was better, we may have to do a side by side comparison. How did you like the bear meat? Guys this was the second time Eric has gone out and hes seen 7 bears in 5 days of hunting I believe. I might have to take him on other hunts with me as well. savagman Report post Posted October 12, 2011 The bear meat was awesome!!! I took the quarters to SW Meats and had some summer sausage made up along with some steaks and roasts.
