Need 140 Berger!! i know i know so is everyone else

Recommended Posts

I know everyone is looking for some but I really was planning on using 168gr out of my 280ai and after quite a few loads found 140 shoot the best....I have 168 to trade some 210 in .30 cal and some various .25 cal berger if anyone wants a trade or I'll buy if anyone can spare a half box or something as I continue load development...

Thanks...

What twist are you shooting and what velocity were you getting out of the 168's? I am just getting ready to work up loads for my .280ai. wish I could help you out, but all I have are 168's

I'm second guessing my twist now, I'll have to go check.... I got the barrel almost 2 1/2 years ago. Got the gun shooting ok to take it on a hunt and it has been sitting ever since.

All my custom barrels are Schneider, I've been extremely happy with them.

They shoot great, I had a few issues that were not the guns fault, (ie, scope, mounts, torque...etc...) I finally gave up on 168's.

Maybe since I've gotten the bugs worked out I shoud try 168s again, but I shot this group the other day with 140's. Top group minimal charge, and

bottom group working toward Max. Hard to change much when I got this.... I'm going to get a few 140's and try to duplicate or improve that bottom group.

Thanks for the PM's and responses.
