Email response From Primos

Recommended Posts

Here is an email that was received from Primos that was posted on another forum that was interesting:

To Whom It May Concern:

It has taken us a few days to sort through all the issues, rumors and

hearsay revolving around the recent court ruling concerning the Elk draw

in Arizona.

Primos has advertised its products on United States Outfitters' TV show

that airs on The Outdoor Channel and we have used USO's licensing

services as well as hired USO for its guide services in areas that we

were unfamiliar with. Primos has been pleased with all services

provided by USO.

Through a number of e-mails and phone calls it has become apparent that

people have lumped Primos Hunting Calls in with USO as being involved

with the court case. It was never our intention to take a position in

this matter, but rather to let the courts decide what was equitable or

not. That, of course, appears to have been misunderstood. With our use

of USO's products, Primos has been included in a fight we did not ask

for and do not desire to be a part of.

All of us at Primos are first and foremost for the Elk and the places

they call home. We do not want to do anything or be a part of anything

that takes away from that.

At this time, we have decided that in order to support elk, the other

wildlife of Arizona, and the places they call home, we should withdraw

USO's TV show from our list of sponsorships.

We thank you for your input. This has not been an easy decision to

reach but after much prayer and thought our decision is based solely on

what we feel is best for the Elk and the Elk hunting community.

Sincerely,

Will Primos

President, Primos Hunting Calls

I hope this is true. It is what we needed to hear from the folks that may not have known what there money was being used for.

I agree, if this is true it is a great start, and I wish to thank all of the people who sent e-mails and made phone calls to voice our concerns.

Keep those emails to the other sponsors going! We have found a way into the USO stronghold! :)

I sent a thank you to Primos for dropping uso. I would think with every one hopefully it will gain momentum and then the uso will have to stand alone, and with maybe a few big sponsors dropping off, they might get the idea the that they are in a fight that no matter the outcome they will lose.

I received a letter back from Realtree. They basiclly said that they were debating on whether or not they were going to sever their ties with USO. I did e-mail them back and told them that I appriciated that they replyed back to me quickly.

I received a response from Crooked Horn. Basically telling me screw myself, in a nice polite way.

That's ok, I like my BadLands and Kelty packs better anyways.

I am with desert bull on this one just got a bad lands and it rules. It is much nicer than my old crooked horn one anyways. It fits better and looks better And it is not bulky. b

esides that they can screw them selfs. What kind of hunter has to be guided to everything they hunt any way. The guy comes up with a pack that people like and then all kinds of outfitters take him hunting and he gives them packs and gifts.

With out doing it on purpose the guide now addvertises for the pack When all the guide cares about is it was free .

They have not come up with anything new in a few years anyways. Oh well they can fill the way they want to about it just like we can. The way primos looks at it is they will sell alot more calls to Arizona hunters than a few free calls they give to USO.

Thank you for your support. It just goes to show how much you are for the little man and not in to it for the support of the rich. Thanks again your product has an even better rating with me and others.
