Edge Report post Posted September 19, 2014 Just about anything is liable to come in to a predator call, critters being curious and all. Found a new spot west of the valley and I spent about an hour at my stand before calling. But within a few minutes of calling, I could hear a creature stumbling clumsily in from a wash below. Took him sometime to get there but he eventually arrived to within a few feet of me and then stared at me the entire time I was there. He thought I was performing a concert just for him. I wanted to dig my camera out but figured he wasn't going anywhere soon. Just then a grey fox ran in from my right flank and stopped 8' in front of me. He was puffing and panting and trying to figure me out. A moment later he started to leave while still looking at me and he stumbled right into my new friend. Once he realized that wasn't a rock he just stepped on, the fox leaped 3' vertically.
