just another thumbs up on the comments about 90-92gr retumbo and 210 bergers

92gr for me...

this was last week at 200yrds

More grains = more better for mine. Anything under 180 has been disasterous.

I have to agree with the opinion on the heavier bullets, they tend to maximize the reason you would buy a RUM. I shot 180 well for the most part but when I decide to get a scope on mine again 190's, 200's, and 210's will be what I work on.

Went out and tested a few loads. This one is 5 rounds of 190 Bergers, 88 gr of H1000. Think I found my load for now. Thanks all.

If you are going to shoot 165 grain you might as well get a .308 or 30.06 and save yourself s lot of $$$ on powder and brass

230 gr. Berger OTM. Same load for all the game I hunt. 300 RUM is a barrel-burner for sure, so don't want to waste barrel life having to re-zero scope every time I switch from heavier loads to light loads. Just set and forget.
