lionhunter Report post Posted January 22, 2015 Not much of a story but,....., This lion was glassed up on Saturday morning by a friend of a friends friends friend. I was up archery deer hunting and got the text that a lion had been seen. I asked my 12 and 14 year old sons if they wanted to continue stalking the two bucks we were on, or go catch a lion? Surprise surprise they chose the lion. A couple of hours later we met up with the guys that had glassed the lion and a friend with some good dirt dogs.. The dogs were hiked in to the approximate spot the lion had last been seen and the race was on. About a four mile round trip, easy as far as lion hunts go, but it ended with a very happy deer hunter ( sorry don't remember the name) and a couple of kids that thought the whole thing was very cool.
