Roosevelt?

Recommended Posts

bass fishing is nearly always good if you are willing to adapt. from nightcrawlers to pop-r's you can always get something to go. its them crappie fishermen that seem to always say the fishing is slow.

good luck,

I'v been up in Tonto Basin the last couple weeks and only got out on Roosevelt once due to the wind and the weekenders. Only caught 2 fish all day. Did manage to sneak down to Apache a week ago and got in to some nice catfish. All were caught between noon and 4pm. Had to stop fishing because the live well was full. 12 catfish weighed 79.5lbs. Had 8 bass but all on the small size. These catfish demolished our lines but what a blast to bring in on 8lb test line. I think Roosevelt will be good fishing with the warm weather moving in. Here's a few pictures from last week.

Smallest was 6.5 and the largest went 8.14.

My wife doesn't like catfish but she ate these and they were good.

Nice job. I caught a 32lb flathead below the dam at Horseshoe one time. Reminds of the pile of fillets I had off 1 fish.
