CouesWhitetail Report post Posted October 20, 2016 Thanks everyone! We had a great time on our campout! Climbed a fire tower to watch the moon rise, cooked some great steaks over the campfire and listened to elk bugle all night in the full moon light. Perfect weather too! Oh and some woodcutter left me birthday gifts of split juniper along the road to camp....it apparently fell off his truck and he wasn't coming back for it, so we grabbed some for the fire. Our jeep was loaded up in back, so poor Paul had to fill the wheel well with the wood and carry some in his lap too!! Such an accommodating husband And then the next day we hiked into an amazing canyon full of fall color! It was surreal! The ground was covered in colored leaves, the understory and mid-story were full of color and the overstory was stunning!
