Can you re-thread the cleaning jag by putting the ramrod down the barrel and spinning it?

I had a similar situation with my TC Renegade. The metal tips on the factory ramrod are threaded in a shallow fashion onto a wooden dowel.

I removed and sanded the glue off the wood, epoxyed the tips back on. A pin through them tips would've been a good idea too.

UPDATE. I took off the nipple and filled it with powder.  After the third attempt of increasing the amount I got it out!

I'm amazed you found it. Last one I dislodged was unrecoverable.

Now buy a metallic or fiber rod and be done with that.

Yup.
I use a metal takedown one and store it in my backpack.
