300 BO Subsonic hunting rounds

Recommended Posts

Probably should have posted this before I ordered from discreet ballistics but what have you guys used how has it worked?

As best as I can tell the hardest thing to deal with with factory ammo is barrel length, seems like you almost gotta reload to get maximum fps without going supersonic.  Opinions welcome.

Just for the fun of chasing pigs and that's about it. 2 youngest boys have tags end of month.  Thought it would be fun for them chasing subsonic and suppressed.

Nothing  wrong  with  a 300 blk . I'm looking  into building  a sbr and running  subs and a can for pigs here and in texas. It's a good  caliber  for all pigs and most small  to medium  size game  if you keep  your range within  reason.

I just took a 2x1 buck Saturday using a 300 blackout suppressed SBR at 80yds.

What ammo were you shooting?

I used Sig 120grain elite hunting solid copper. I know it wasn't subsonic, but the buck dropped. I have a 8in Wilson Combat barrel.

I have one with a 10.5" barrel and a newly released from ATF jail SOCOM 300SPS. I need to start looking for a good sub. Super I load Hornady 110 VMax on the low end and they are surprisingly accurate.
