cactusjack Report post Posted April 30 FYI, I started my paperwork on Monday afternoon for a new suppressor. Just picked it up. Was approved less than 48 hours from the time I paid for my stamp. Approved in a trust. A buddy of mine was approved yesterday. Submitted 1 hour before me. Also in a trust. 2
cactusjack Report post Posted May 11 Suppressors transfer from manufacturers to dealers on a form 3. Only dealers that have a SOT can transfer suppressors that are on a form 3. You have an option to do paper forms, old school or e-file . E-file has been really fast. Paper forms have been taking 9 months. Privately owned suppressors that are on a form 4 may be sold to a person in the same state on another form 4. If the person is out of state, it has to go to a form 3, at a SOT, then transferred to a dealer in the new state, on the form 3. The new dealer will transfer it on a form 4 to the new owner. Each time a nfa item transfers involving a form 4, it costs 200. So form 4 in state costs 200. One out of state is 400, plus any dealer fees. Privately owned form 4 to form 4, currently can only be done on paper form 4s. So plan on waiting 9 months.

cactusjack Report post Posted May 25 Hopefully the Senate will follow the lead of the House and we won't need any more tax stamps!
DUG Report post Posted May 25 That would be awesome. Get it same day with just a background check. Just like buying a firearm. Hopefully, that would eventually bring the price down.

His shop was the closest to me that had reloading supplies, so I spent alot of money over the years with Harlan on guns, ammo, and reloading supplies. I've known Harlan since he worked at Jumbo Sports and then he was at Randalls for years. My son worked part-time with him and now sees him at gun functions and range days. He's a good guy.

azhuntnut Report post Posted Tuesday at 02:47 AM Silencer Central is waving the tax stamp on more than 50 of their suppressors right now. They will also set up a trust for free. https://www.silencercentral.com
cactusjack Report post Posted Tuesday at 02:57 AM Don't pay more. Silencercentral sucks. They also were fighting to keep suppressors on the NFA.
cactusjack Report post Posted Tuesday at 02:53 PM SilencerShop has many tax free, or a 200 dollar credit also. With the fast turn around that has been going on, you can go to a place with a Kiosk and you could be approved in under 2 weeks. Get them in time for your deer and elk hunts

And man I love this suppressor!
cactusjack Report post Posted Wednesday at 10:59 PM I certified 2 this morning, a scythe and a spectr9. The times have been erratic. Was down to 24 hours in some cases, but 2 to 3 days was common. Lately we have been 2 to 3 weeks, but still have some 2 to 3 days pop up. Typical government operation.
