WTT handgun for a decent rifle

Recommended Posts

I have a Springfield armory XD Mod. 2, 40 cal. Comes with a soft case, 2 mags, box of target rounds, and a box of personal defense rounds. Just looking a decent deer hunting rifle to trade for. If you are interested shoot me a pm. Can also add on top of my trade to make up any difference.

Why are you asking? It’s not free, he wants to trade, that means you would have to give something to get something.

I have a pick several rifles that I may be willing to trade one for his pistol. My rifles aren't free either. Why does this concern you?

Do you have a rifle to trade for his pistol? If so, make him an offer. I'm trying to narrow down which one I may be willing to offer.

First, he's not being played.

Second, I've sent him my number to communicate.

Third. My questions are valid since I need a better idea of what caliber and manufacturer he is looking for. A 22-250 is much better for Coues and a 30-06 is much better for Mule. Also, everybody's opinion of what constitutes expensive ammo varies although some ammo is very obviously expensive.

Fourth, whether discussing on the forum in public or privately by text, the process is still the same. But, yes, if we talk by voice we should be able to communicate faster.

Finally, as PRDATER is famous for asking, his location would be a help as logistics may be an issue.

I don't have an absolute need to own his pistol, but I do have extra rifles that I could possibly help me out with.

In fact, there is nothing in these Classifieds that I absolutely "need". But there are things that I like and I also try to help others to a degree.

In this case, I'm trying to see if I can help him and it works well enough for me. But I need to know more specifically what he wants.

This is becoming more of a hassel and problem than I had expected.

PRDATER's suggestion works for me, even if I don't see much difference unless we talk by voice instead of text, and evidently some on this forum are too immature to understand the need for the questions asking clarity and what a cheap violin is ( a "cheap orchestra violin 🎻, aka fiddle, with bow is now about $3,500 unless you care nothing at all about sound.even the cheapest violins with a necessary bow, will run a few hundred dollars) again, the perspective of one's definition of "cheap".

If 25-06 can explain the real usefulness of his "cheap" shot other than demonstrating his own venting of limited understanding and evident ignorance, or his venting if his own frustration over his own personal situation, then by all means give it a shot and we'll see how many ways we can interpret it.

So many keyboard giants. If they had real wisdom their personal lives would reflect it in their personal and financial success achieved honestly. Those who really know me are free to judge if they wish to. Those who don't judge in ignorance and are just fools.

Russ is a good guy and has plenty  to offer.  I've known  him for a few years already.  He's  correct  in his questions  and has the correct  approach  . I'm sure he's  got a trade but also  absolutely  sure he doesn't  need  to make the trade.

Being frugal and smart with your finances is  his speciality  .

I always  say don't  judge  because  you don't  know . The guy your judging  could just be a much better  person  than u think.

FYI for the keyboard giants, Caleb got a hold of me Sunday, being very surprised by and apologetic for your comments, and we have arrived at a solution. So much for being played like a cheap fiddle!!!

Thank you great guys for sticking up for me!

He's taking his teenage daughter on her hunt and also on his, and his relative may be there as well. He told me the calibers a relative shoots that would make it easier for him to bum a little ammo from the brother if he needed it and have it still not over power her. So we figured out a brand new 308 that was doable for both of us, in spite of judgements.

I hope she gets her trophy!!!!🤣

Way to go Russ!! Hopefully  she gets it done!!! I've given away  a few 308's over the last few years  and not one complaint  on to much for the kids to handle.
