Sneaker Report post Posted Friday at 08:12 PM What is everyone's experience with the accuracy of the department's scoring? Up in Region 3 its kind of a local joke since they have had alot of turnover in recent years and are always lower than registered B&C scorers get. I know every office and scorer has to be different. Someone said if you had a score sheet done and signed by someone certified that they have accepted that before, anyone seen that?

Flatlander Report post Posted Friday at 09:27 PM It gets recorded and published which does matter to people who are looking for publicly available information. My experience is that it is highly dependent on their mood. Bring in a smiling happy kid, score gets bumped up a little bit. Be late and bring a stinky decomposing head, expect them to round down. Sneaker Report post Posted Friday at 10:48 PM Trying to get a feel of which rams may have been taken in a unit that I have an inventory of most of the mature rams. But that has proven difficult with shaky scores, among other reason:)
backcountry_brad Report post Posted Friday at 10:53 PM My buddy said his ram was taped and scored in under a minute. Came out 3” smaller than what he was scored by a guy who’s killed over 40 sheep.
HuntHarder Report post Posted Friday at 11:13 PM 3"??? So less than a 5% difference? Sheep guys are weird.

I can’t imagine they’re off that much. The aging sure, but the score?

People that are upset about this probably have a ram teetering on the 160s I would bet. Nobody wants to log a 50s. 1

Not a picture, the score? That’s incredible.

GreyGhost85 Report post Posted yesterday at 02:35 AM I’m more worried about how they age sheep than score them. My friend’s ram from like 6-8 years ago. G&F aged him at 5, then in the hunt reports listed him at
