Fishing Szn. Bank fishing Rocky Point

Recommended Posts

strike mission was a success. Rolled down Saturday morning, came back Sunday night. Pretty good size corvinas. I did ok but my buddies were hammering them on Japanese baits. Gonna make a huge vat of ceviche

I used to spend a bit of time down there. Not so much anymore.  IMG_3083.thumb.jpeg.aad891c49e7314c2f28577accc674ce7.jpeg

Back when I had triple chins and not quad chins

We always pull into that quick stop in Ajo to look at the mounts. Pretty cool.

I was with some kids that fish only, on the way down they didn’t want to stop. But last night I finessed him and said dude you should pull in and spray off your undercarriage in ajo. So when he did I ran in and checked them out

If you go back down, you should join the locals at dawn or sunset off of Pelican Point... they've been pounding them all winter, and there's some nice 5lb plus fish being caught.  Slippery AF on the rocks, so bring felt soles or the ice clamps you can put on over your shoes.  My neighbors were using topwater lures and having a ball in December.  No snags, and you get to watch them slam the baits...

Always a good job to spray off the undercarriage when coming back from Rocky Point :D

Thanks. They caught lots on topwater. Got crazy footage with a drone and Covinas on the baits. no ice clamps necessary at the estuary. very few snags if you’re paying attention. I fish homeport sometimes. Gonna hit homeport in a couple weeks, totoabas should be showing up
