2010 southern az bear

Recommended Posts

After finally slipping an arrow in this summer bear,,,, I had no idea how i wanted to mount this guy, But i wanted to do something different with it and finally decide that i hadn't seen many bear shoulder mounts.... So a shoulder mount it was.... and boy did ScottyBoy work his magic on this one.... thanks for another great mount Scotty, There is not a better felling then knowing your taxidermist is going to put out as much effort as you did to get that animal on the ground...

Thanks for sharing your mount with us. Scotty did a good job and congratulations on your bear. Taking it with an arrow just makes it that much better. :)

Very nice Cody. I like the length of the shoulder mount, it gives it more character than a shorter head mount. On a mount like that, do they tan the entire hide, or just the portion of the cape that is utilized for the mount?

Cody, what measurements did your skull ultimately score? And did you ever measure the length of your bear?
