My first blue grouse!

Well we didn't get on any bears but I was fortunate enough to take my first blue! These things taste great!

I've hunted for them a couple of times, but I've only seen 1 in Az. I talked to someone recently who went to Kiabab for a Grouse hunt. He and his friend both shot 3 each. They lucked into them. I would really love to get one.

Only seen one in Az. Used to run into them all the time in NM. Scared the BeJesus out of a few times elk hunting. Congrats

I've only seem them in the white mountains & Kiabab,

 

My dad couldn't stop laughing when I came back from a hike saying I saw pigeons walking around. (I was younger)

I saw a dozen of them while I was elk hunting up in Montana a few weeks ago. Cool birds, but they'll scare the crap out of you when they flush.

They are pretty much limited to the high Alpine Forests of 8'000 feet or higher.
