Crockpot Elk Chili

Recommended Posts

I love the ease of cooking with the crockpot. not to mention it seems that everything i put in there comes out good.

1 package ground elk

1 onion

2 bell peppers

2 zucchini

1 can of tomato paste

1 can of diced tomatoes

2 Tbs chili powder

1 tsp cayenne

2 tsp cumin

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

if youre not using the slow cooker liners in your crockpot, u dun goofed. theres basically no clean up.

Macros?

i didnt weigh it, but its mostly meat and no beans so the macros are pretty legit. i used about 2lbs elk, i came up with about 42p 16c 3f for a couple cups worth. not sure if thats accurate at all or not.

dump the bell peppers and use a couple jalapeno's, otherwise looks yummy

I'm lost on the macros? Wtf is macros? Chili looks great, I've never used or heard of liners (thanks for that tip!!) I guess I'll be the first or only to ask what macros is?

Protein, Carbohydrate, Fat, are macronutrients. vitamins and minerals are micronutrients

yep - why ruin a good chili in the pot - let everyone add whatever they like in their bowl - spice it how you like it is the rule at our place -

I personally do not like to sweat buckets while trying to enjoying my food .

looks great - I use what little is leftovers for chilidogs - lol
