A quick peek at one of my reloading manuals show 7-08's Max load of IMR 4350 between 44 and 50 gr, depending on the weight of the projectile.

Thx for reply, I see 43.7-46.5(c) on modern reloading (2nd Ed). Now that I look at Hodgdon site, it says same thing.
grapevinedave Report post Posted January 6 Started this thread and asked this question quite a while ago. I ended up treating it like a 7mm-08 and shot 140's and 150's out of it. The rifle shoots great with 140 Sierra SBT's and 150 Eldx's. The rifle is topped with a Burris XTR 4-20x50 and changed out the muzzle brake to a Patriot Arms Brake. Haven't shot it in quite some time and it's actually for sale in the classified's. I used H4350 for both bullets and speeds and accuracy from an inexpensive rifle is pretty impressive. I believe the loads were 46.5gr for the 140's and 46.0 for the 150's with RP brass, and Fed 210 primers.

I even tried vibrating the powder down and only got to 2.833. With my last 3 pieces of brass I did the Sierra 140 GKs w 39.5 H4895. I should stick in that area. I didn’t even know before looking in a book that the 08 went passed 150.

I shot 168 HPBT Sierra's in my 700. Knocked down steel Rams at 500 Meters just fine. I believe they were around 2650fps.

Only shot factory cheap Hornady Whitetail 139gr and it shoots fantastic so far. Got all the stuff to reload for it especially now my youngest has an elk hunt in September. I bought some 140 grain Nosler Accubonds and some H4350 but started thinking of maybe getting some Ramshot BigGame after reading about it. Need to start soon as late Sept will be here before we know it.
