I've seen it said and I truly believe it, a true 180' is the new 200"
-
The worst part of it all is that I don't see mule deer across the west getting better any time soon. IF we get lots of good rain and feed we will have a few good years coming up but the way it has been going its only getting worse, way worse not better. Take for example last year, there were only 3 or 4 legit 200" bucks taken across the state. 5-7 years ago even that number was probably more like 20-30. I can tell you I scouted the Kaibab in 2019 and I figured I saw 8-10 bucks within a inch or two of 200" and bigger. The last 2 years I scouted it and hunted it and saw 1. that is a small sample size but very indicative of the downhill slide of mule deer that I've seen across the units i hunt in AZ, CO, and UT.

Well not all, but a good portion for sure. During 2008 and 2009 when the economy crashed there were a significant # of locals who couldn't afford their ponies and so they let them loose to run with the Apache horses.

Looking to buy Savage Rascal Single Shot threaded
WHT_MTNMAN replied to SpotNStalk's topic in Classified Ads
Cal Ranch shows a couple in valley stores or tucson stores for $179 -
This is so much better than all of the Classifieds BUT still not as good as hunting stories/pictures. I don't have anything to add carry on!

Thats kind of cool

So you found what you wanted? Do you like his stuff? or are you looking for something different or cheaper than Jeff Fredrick

I will start a topic - 8 deer bonus points
WHT_MTNMAN replied to Big or Bust's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Well I'll give some of my thoughts. 33 is still struggling, 36s are tough 36c would be my choice of all the 36s. I would look at 34s and 35s. 35s have some great bucks in them, if you can put in the time and have access. 29 would be my choice above all if you could draw it, I don't even know it well I've just seen some great bucks come out of there -
Its been gone for a few years now.

Recommendations on where to purchase suppressor & trust
WHT_MTNMAN replied to CJNAZ's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I know there are people on here who help others and I'm sure they are great, I just don't know them personally. I got my 2nd suppressor from EVT (east valley tactical) that used to be Mr Silencer many years ago. I went down last month and picked up two more. It took about 10 minutes, and 2 weeks later they came in, these two were not in a trust though just individuals. I've had great success with EVT. -
Well I think you are right and I'm wrong the but actual wording is "must have a license valid through deadline day of that draw" So I was guessing it meant day of the actual draw. Ive had my lifetime license for 15+ years so I haven't paid much attention.
