A Crappie Roosevelt Discussion

Recommended Posts

My 3 year-old and I had a great day at Roosevelt. I'm thankful the fishing has picked up the last few years.

that is awesome. Even better that your daughter goes along. What were you using for bait?

Long line trolling jigs, grubs and bare hooked minnow combinations at 1mph. Ran out of minnows and caught a couple casting.

Good stuff…I grew up catching crappie with my dad in TN. Still my favorite fish all-around unless the smallies are biting.

Nice day! What end of the lake were you in?

Same exact details as our pm last year if you still have it. Tonto.

Making it look too easy. Do you get hung up a lot

2 snags all day but I was fishing fast and shallow based on your report, thanks dude. I'll fish .8-.9 mph for suspended shad busting fish and 1-1.1 over trees.

Did it look like other dudes were getting them too?

I didn't see any but I'm on a boat with a 3 year old man, I wasn't paying attention to anything but safety and crappie.
