The ice cream at the country store is pretty decent..................vanilla/chocolate swirl  the grandkids love it!!!

Local friend has been there 3 times.

If'n I'm going to spend $25 on a burger or better come with fries and a drink. 

I'm used to having the local special on Wednesdays in Kodiak where $15 gets you a hand packed burger, beer and fries. 

No way Alpine is more expensive to stock than Kodiak

At my age I hate progress these days.  Between land swaps and elk ridge apartments I might have to move in to the boondocks…

Yeah, I saw that too - $24 for a burger definitely made me raise an eyebrow. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m hoping someone chimes in with a review soon. I mean, if it’s a legit gourmet burger and the vibe’s nice, maybe it’s worth it for the convenience, especially after a long day of hiking or just relaxing up there.

Kind of reminds me of places that go all-in on quality over quantity—like when I visited Thailand and splurged on an omakase dinner at tenkoomakasebangkok.com. Totally different type of cuisine, but the same “is it worth it?” question. Spoiler: it was. So who knows - maybe this new spot at Tal-Wi-Wi will surprise us too.
