Why can you not talk to them.  I need for them to explain which plan would be best for me.

There are suction cup kits that go on the windshield or on top of your truck when you are mobile. Get a case for the mini.

Newer vech have plug-ins. Solar is the way to go.

We were in Utah for 10 days last year on a hunt brought a gas generator and a Bluetti. The bluetti lasted all 10 days easily (think it was still at 70+ percent charged when we got home) but we only ran it for maybe an hour or two at night we’d turn it on just to charge phones and radios when we got back to camp and had the Starlink mini to send a few texts giving updates to ppl back home.  Never even started the gas generator. We take the mini to our lake house which doesn’t have service we had about a dozen ppl there last trip no issues with speed.

It is still working great no changes. I would still like a larger battery generator, but there is no real reason to buy one.  

I have also learned where I go camping and the duration is important - if there is good cell service determined by scouting - I don't use Starlink but most 1 week or longer trips - I activate it.  the ROAM plan i started with Starlink changed, now I pay $5 a month, the speed is real slow, all that can be done text from it, maybe check email,  but cannot make a call or much else, if I activate to a faster plan, I go with unlimited for a month, then change back to the $5 a month.   there is a 100 GB plan for less, but if I make a Microscoft Teams call (for work) or if we fire up the TV, youtube or 100 GB goes quick.

That is a pain for new users - there are plenty of groups to chat with on social media, but when millions of people were able to choose a plan without talking to someone.... I would ask myself - why do I need to talk to someone (that was a joke, but also what I told myself). 

If you take it on the go, you need ROAM, then need to determine how much data do you need and will you use it each month or not (check your home internet provider and how much is used in a month should be a good indication) 100GM or unlimited - the unlimited you can "standby" and pay $5 a month (for very slow internet), then activate the unlimited when needed.

I've been debating getting one myself and making the switch to our home internet. Sure, seems like a win win.

For home internet it was a no brainer for us for the best internet in our location. We have Verizon jet pack for mobile internet for years and it is just cellular internet for my wife's work and it sucked. But we ha e been grandfathered in to the high speed unlimited cause we've had it since it started. But we are switching to starlink for that now too. Most of the time in will be used in the car while driving.

If you need packable power try something like this. You can find one to match the power tool batteries of any major brand (Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi, etc.). Using an 8ah 18 or 20 volt battery (depending on the brand) I'll get about 4-6+ hours (depending on the work load) of continuous usage on a charge with my Starlink mini. The 8ah battery and inverter weigh about 3 lbs combined. I've used this setup to sneak out of the office to hunt or fish and still conduct business (in non-cell service areas) on more than a few occasions. The whole setup (Starlink, battery setup, & laptop) probably adds 6-8 lbs to my pack. But man is it worth it to be fishing and hunting on a "workday".

I use the same setup in my sxs.  I takebit evrywhere I go "just in case". the genius of the starlink system is it can run off many different power sources without fuss

I wish I had gotten the mini- but it wasn't out yet. 

I am very happy with Starlink - when we go camping on 4th with multiple families, it sounds terrible, but everyone loves it, one time it had 32 users connected at once- music, movies, teenagers hate to be away from their phones as much as it pains me, they can't put them down, they are soooo much better at camp with signal than driving to get signal and doing who knows what at all hours of the night - I also can work for days in the cool pines vs office / field.
