Birds are firing up

Recommended Posts

Up in Heber, crazy warm.. plants are blooming early, and the birds are talking already. Had several Tom’s sounding off yesterday late, this morning I was  out and  hearing hens clucking, and responding gobbles.  Hope they don’t mate early and end up w frozen eggs if weather goes to normal. I hope they’re still responsive for you tag holders when the season starts.

Yup,

They raise multiple clutches even in a normal year when the first one is successful.

This time of year birds are always, A-L-W-A-Y-S fired up, probably moreso with all this warm weather. Turkeys are way more predictable than Elk or Deer.

Hens are probably already nesting.
