Muzzy muley

Recommended Posts

I finally dropped the hammer on a buck Saturday evening. After nine days in the field and passing on other bucks, I decided to shoot this buck I had seen several times throughout my hunt. I was holding out for a really big buck I found, but he was impossible to find in the thick brushy area I was hunting. This is my first buck with a muzzy, and I think I am hooked. I was using a Barnes Spit-fire T-EZ with Buckhorn 209 powder that produced very good accuracy out to 200 yards. My Thompson Center has the Nikon Omega scope with the BDC reticle in it. This made the 170 yard shot pretty easy for me. Here is a picture I found of him on trailcam.
